First in Guyana
Pioneering Real Estate in Guyana
As the first registered real estate association in Guyana, GAREP stands at the forefront of the industry. With a proud history of being the longest-standing and most active real estate association, we currently represent 58 registered members and over 200 affiliate members. Our commitment to excellence and professionalism has made us a cornerstone of the real estate community in Guyana.
Our Impact on Legislation
GAREP has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of real estate in our country. We were instrumental in collaborating with the government to craft and pass the Real Estate Act 2023 into law. This landmark legislation brings much-needed credibility to the industry, establishing a regulatory framework that ensures compliance with government, regulatory and international policies. By promoting ethical practices and professional standards, GAREP has been working with agents to ensure accountability, transparency, uphold ethical standards and ultimate enhance trust within the local and international marketplace.
Advocacy and Engagement
As advocates for our members at both local and national levels, GAREP actively engages with stakeholders to ensure that our members' voices are heard. We have successfully partnered with educational institutions to develop tailored programs in Facilities Management and Construction Management, addressing key areas of need within the real estate sector. Additionally, we are pursuing further educational initiatives designed specifically for the real estate industry, ensuring our members have access to relevant training and resources that foster growth.
